4. Yes, as mentioned in previous reviews there is building work going on next door and it is noisy but the good points of the Hotel certainly outweighed this.

5. Request a room on the south side ocean view (the view is nice and undoubtedly much cheaper than ocean front - the north side's ocean view rooms look out on heavy, noisy construction and an ugly old gutted building.

6. It is 'south of fifth street', which means that it is more of a locals area and it is not as noisy as the rest of south beach.
