1. I guess the only downside is that the lift is very slow, but if you're fine with taking the stairs this shouldn't be a problem.

2. The elevator ran SLOW; the stairs are narrow and steep; rooms were not clean; sink in the room was nearly at knee level; there was no toilet or shower in my room, bathrooms are shared; and no air conditioning.
