1. San Francisco is an expensive place to stay if you want to be in the middle of town, so value for money is a downside as this hotel was EXPENSIVE when we were there.

2. I guess the only downside is that the lift is very slow, but if you're fine with taking the stairs this shouldn't be a problem.
