1. The beautiful enclosed courtyard entrance with a classic stained glass dome already sets it apart from the wind-swept hotel entries up hill (The Fairmont and the Mark Hopkins).
"The very Best of Nob Hill - And part of the Marriott Chain! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/8/2012 Vote
2. Beyond the antiquated decor and carpeting throughout the hotel, and the fact that the amenities were limited to shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, I didn't expect the following: - whitish stains on the chair and the work area (let your mind wander, mine did) - yellow stains on the roof of the bathroom above the shower - hairs stuck on the bathroom ceiling and walls - minibar was broken with no ETA for a fix ('they will get to it sometime soon')To me this says laziness.
"Overpriced (no surprise), Unclean (big surprise) " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/13/2012 Vote
3. The bathroom was tired with stained tiles and dirt around tops and shower head.
"Frantic few days :) " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/21/2012 Vote
4. The hotel is actually a landmark building, that was renovated a few years ago, and has the most fabulous marriage of old-wold beauty (check out the stained glass rotunda in the courtyard) and modern updates (swoon over the green onyx check-in desk, and the eye-candy glass sculptures on the wall behind it.
"A really first-class hotel, with gorgeous ambiance, incredibly helpful staff, and very near everything you want to do. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/27/2011 Vote
5. The hotel driveway features a beautiful stained glass dome and a lounge for waiting for tours/cabs etc- a great idea which more hotels should adapt.
"Top of Nob Hill " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/19/2010 Vote
6. The carpet in the hallways is atrocious (see pic), and stained, but I imagine it is on their to-do list.
"beautiful hotel....minus the carpets - and no wake-up call!!!!! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/29/2009 Vote
7. The reception area is quite modern and tastefully decorated, unlike the fourth floor which was like stepping into the 1970s with a psychedelic yellow carpet which was quite heavily stained and the corridors to the room had a very stale aroma.
"This Hotel is satisfactory although certainly nothing special! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/11/2009 Vote
8. The tubs were stained, grout was black in spots, mold on the shower curtains and our tiolet leaked black oily stuff from the handle.
"Stay somewhere else- " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/4/2008 Vote
9. From the beautiful stained glass to the marble in my bathroom, it was nice to see how much time was spent preserving the past.
"Wonderful Customer Service and Location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/4/2008 Vote
10. It looked as if nobody had vacuumed around the furniture or base boards in a few months, the shower had mildew build up along the grout lines, the towel warmer was broken, there were stains on the walls, carpet and doors, and everything just looked dingy, dinged up, and poorly cared for.
"Truly Crappy in every way! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/2/2008 Vote
