2. As someone mentioned, there are pan handlers out in front frequently - the staff does their best to move them along, but unless you stay on top of the hill at the Fairmont or somewhere else away from the busy shopping district, that is unfortunately the norm for San Francisco and should be expected.

7. I had booked a twin room and upon check in was told unfortunately they had no more twin rooms and I mentioned we really needed it as we were just friends and didn't want to share a bed.

8. unfortunately, when we were checking in we discovered that my husband accidentally booked the Hotel Abri for July (2 weeks before we were supposed to arrive in San Francisco).

9. unfortunately I had the room next to the lifts so I could hear the lifts doors open and close which was quite loud so I recommend when you check in you ask to be in a room that is away from the lifts.

10. unfortunately the continental breakfast was $6 per person, but the staff gave us very good recommendations for nearby breakfast places.
