For under $200/night, you'll be
hard
-pressed to find a better hotel value in the popular Union Square area.

The staff were in tune with this, and were able to point me in the direction of the closest store with umbrellas so I wouldn't get too wet (not that this was
hard
since the hotel is next to everything shopping.

It is between the Powell St Bart station and Union Square, just along from the Powell St cable car station so
hard
to beat.

The noisy crowd hanging around the nightclub kept loud noise until late Friday night and it was quite
hard
to fall asleep.

Cons: the pillows are
hard
and I wouldn't stay here for business, unless I managed a very high floor away from street noise (I was trashed my entire trip, so noise wasn't much of an issue).

We chose one at the back (which I have a feeling are smaller), but the upside of that is it was whisper quiet, which is so
hard
to find in downtown SF.
