1. The reason I'm giving this hotel 4 instead of a 5 ranking is the mediocre breakfast (not, say, on par with a Residence Inn, but this place is a lot less expensive) and because we could hear the sound of the elevator moving up and down the shaft, which sounded like someone rolling closet doors back and forth.

2. It's one of the less expensive hotels in the River North area, but it is very comfortable and has a most helpful staff.

3. We find it to be clean, comfortable, in a great spot (very close to subway station and the 'Magnificent Mile'), not too expensive, and with free breakfast.

4. The Hampton Inn and Suites is as reasonably priced as any during this season now that we're not on a business expense account, with large clean suites, free WiFi and plenty of elbow room to store purchases.

5. Cons: VERY loud (I slept with the TV on though which tuned out all the noise), dirty hot tub, 'heated' pool was too cold for my kids to even want to be in, booked room wasn't available, expensive parking (although all hotels are like this downtown).
"Didn't get the room I booked :-( " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/17/2012 Vote
6. 4) User-friendly business center and a great complementary breakfast (quite a contrast with the more expensive hotels right near it)5) No spotty internet (which is sometimes the case with 'complementary wi-fi' in large cities)6) Exceptional location at a great price.

7. The Hyatt Regency Downtown was very expensive and you needed a cab to get to most places.

10. If you have a car, the valet parking is pretty expensive so I'd suggest finding a lot nearby.
