Our room was on the street, not on the courtyard, but it wasn't that
noisy
at all.

We`d go back in a second & we would have said it was perfect except the Mercer Kitchen was too dark, too
noisy
, the food too ordinary & the staff too erratic.

We have stayed at 60 Thompson (
noisy
in the street front rooms, small room size) and The Bowery (our second choice), but The Mercer is the pefect hotel for us.

Our second room overlooked the courtyard which was really very peaceful although the large ventilation unit on an adjacent roof could be
noisy
with the windows open in summer.

Rooms are large (we had a Mercer room), bright, airy (and not
noisy
with the window open - Mercer St is hardly busy by NY standards) with white walls and high ceilings.

The tub was
noisy
when draining and the shower tended to leak water onto the bathroom floor when using the body spray.
"Great (but expensive) hotel! "
