1. After our long afternoon flight from London I got held up at customs due to an issue with my ESTA so we didn't arrive at the hotel until 8pm and having been awake 21hours we were ready to crash out.

2. If the construction noise and issues had not occurred I would rank the hotel as a nice one, but I felt we were taken advantage of by being given this room that even the desk clerk cringed at the next morning when I told him which room I was complaining about.

3. I stayed here last year as well in a room without an adjoining room and don't recall any noise issues.

4. wont make or back us (for some this be an issue if not prepared) but is was a suprise on the bill.

5. Only downfall is the rooms are not that big, but we didn't spend a whole lot of time in it, so not an issue,.

6. Other than the valet issue, if you want to be close to the wharf and get a clean, comfortable room, the Tuscan Inn is the place.

7. Too early to say if there are issues there yet, but the front-desk staff was completely professional and courteous, so I'd be surprised if there are.

8. We travelled Dec 5th -12th having booked through Thomas Cook (no issues there, thank God), choosing the Tuscan Inn based on the reviews here and in guidebooks (Eyewitness Travel).

9. We also had to ask for help with various issues (smoke detector, extra hangers, fridge, and thermostat), and the staff was quick to respond and helpful.
