1. My only complaint: avoid rooms with connecting doors to another, unless you are there as a family.

2. The Tuscan Inn is a fine choice if you get a nice price (we paid $119/night over President's Day weekend, and asked for a king upgrade) or want to be near Fisherman's Wharf (but two blocks away, so you can also avoid that mess if you choose).

3. The parking in this part of the city is a bit steep, but it's the same everywhere so it's not exactly avoidable by shopping around.
