1. Old radiator occasionally made some strange noises during the night and difficult to turn heating off fully, but windows easily opened.

Location, Location, Location, not like other misleading hotels on an industrial estate or airport car park this really is here, 5 mins walk to Times Square one way and Central Park the other with many subways and other bits nearby, so if you want Manhattan day and night you are in the right place, however the hotel needs to sharpen up somewhat, the public areas are lovely but the rooms are very very tired, the bathrooms are particualrly grim, the beds and rooms are clean but in dire need of a paint brush, if you have vertigo avoid the upper floors as the windows seem difficult to secure.

6. I stayed here during early August and thought I would write a balanced review as i found it very difficult to see whether this hotel was good or rubbish.

7. The concierge even ordered us a taxi for our trip back to the airport when we left knowing it would be difficult for us to hail a cab at rush hour.

8. the only thing that that really let the room down was the smell, difficult to discribe the smell we thought is was coming for the bathroom, so the door was always cloed but eveytime you entered the room the smell was there even keeping the windows open made no difference.

9. I do agree with previous reviewers re: noise levels from outside which did make it difficult to sleep on occasion, and the bedroom fittings are in serious need of upgrading.
