1. The rooms need serious renovations, the bathroom has paint peeling, old shower heads, and the air-condition runs really loud.

2. The rooms were in complete disrepair with peeling paint, tiles missing in the bathroom, rusted fixtures, etc.

3. Pros:-Excellent location-Nice beach lounges and service-Comfortable bedsCons:-Old, small, depressing rooms-Rooms in disrepair based on things like rusted metal, peeling paint, older fixtures and odor-Tiny dark old bathroom with one sink (in a double, oceanfront room) and lack of any place to put toiletries (although quality of toiletries provided was good)-Lack of basic amenities in room like coffeemaker, glasses (two small glasses were provided the first day and never replaced, no wine glasses, corkscrew, etc.

4. Checked in to this $$ hotel (in a great location) and had to ask to be moved to another room immediately -- that is once I saw that the paint was literally peeling of the walls in the bathroom and in particular off the tiles that were in the shower that had been covered with paint.

5. In addition to being TINY, hardly enough room for one person to move around in, the paint on the shower tile was peeling away and would stick to our feet whenever we got in - gross.
"Run down - staff needs training " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/29/2009 Vote
6. in general the quality of the light fittings in the room was rather cheap; (2) the CD player was old and malfunctioning, it would quit playing CDs after a couple tracks; (3) the toilet seat was coming off its hinges; (4) the shower floor was grungy and peeling paint; (5) wireless Internet access was very elusive due to very weak signal; and (6) even Hampton Inns have flat-panel TVs nowadays, so it is difficult to understand why a luxury property should have old-style CRT TVs; (7) The in-room service guide promises turn-down service, which we never received.
"Amazing pool, room in some disrepair " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/24/2008 Vote
7. The hotel is basically a five star, and the beds and linens are too but the rooms have some peeling paint, and that type of thing which is odd for such a great hotel.
"Outstanding service " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/4/2008 Vote
