4. In addition to being TINY, hardly enough room for one person to move around in, the paint on the shower tile was peeling away and would stick to our feet whenever we got in - gross.

5. It is right on the beach and the beach chairs are the most comfortable chairs I have ever experienced (no hard plastic sticking to your butt - just cushy terry cloth).

6. The view from our high-floor oceanfront room was also very nice, but the outside of the windowpanes were quite dirty (I suppose they are hard to reach.

7. The poolside cabana's sit on top of almost muddy grass instead of sand or a deck which was not as nice as I would like the furnishings in side were a little dirty as well (yuk)The D-Zone area was cool but small so it was hard to find a quiet spot.

8. A frequent visitor to Miami Beach's South Beach area, I have stayed at The National six or seven times over the last few years with hardly any problems although it should be stated that: 1) I learned not to book the weekends since it is extremely noisy at The National (most often it is the hotel next to The National, and 2) I usually vacation in September or October.
