5. We did have to turn off the air conditioner throughout the night due to the noise and the furniture did need replacing but all in all, we tried to be fairly open minded and didn't want to focus on being totally negative because that would spoil our holiday.

7. Bear in mind though the glass doors leading out to the lanai aren't soundproofed so you will hear a fair bit of noise - even at the 12th level.

9. I was told floors 3-7 and subsequently asked with the booking to have a room as high up as possible to get the best possible views and also minimise road noise.

10. The hotel is on the main drag through Waikiki so there's some degree of street noise, and neighboring guests or housekeepers passing by the door can be heard, but there's not a lot of indoor traffic.
