8. The best are the tiny Japanese restaurants within a block of the hotel which were so small the front desk staff didn't even know about them- wondeful, authentic food if you're looking for something off the beaten path and out of the crowded, commercialized restaurant world of Waikiki.

9. Be sure to take the elevator to the top floor and go out on the tiny balcony area for a beautiful view of the ocean and Waikiki.

10. They also very carefully check your car for damage before accepting it into valet parking, and make you sign indicating all pre-existing damage, no matter how small -- tiny bumps, dents, and scratches included.
