1. The fact that we felt we could trust him to do that was already a big deal, but his personal follow through and the continued staying in touch as he completed the process was such a reinforcement of basic principles of helping your fellow human beings in distress that it has inspired our family to make sure we pass it forward by going out of our way to make sure we can help others.
