1. We had avoided Waikiki Beach for the last few trips to Hawaii - usually preferring Maui, because of the crowded, noisy and dirty area that was near the Outrigger Main - we were pleasantly surprised by the changes to this part of the beach with all the new restaurants and shops in this area now.

2. They left dirty towels in our room one day, dirty glasses for several days, and on numerous occasions we had to call housekeeping to get toiletries that were meant to be left in the room.

3. When I took my boys upstairs to change, it turns out that this room was in the middle of being cleaned--sheets ripped off the bed, dirty towels on the floor etc.
