1. I know that this is no fault of the hotel but it amazed me how loudly the sounds were and how it sounded as if my window was open allowing the noise in but my windows were sealed shut.

7. I felt they were very thin which allowed us to hear noise from the hallways and at night we heard some noise from the CNN area, but not enough to stop us from sleeping.

8. The only drawbacks are that this place has 1000 rooms (but they do a pretty good job with that) and the higher up windows in the South Tower let in more city noise than you would expect.
