1. we were largely ignored in the lobby (I'm sure due to our appearance) and when we finally got someone's attention to check in, they couldn't help us onto the elevator fast enough.

7. Much like the last W to pass through Washington, the W Hotel is a disastrous combination of a poorly managed staff masking inexperience with arrogance while ignoring the most critical element of travel with a complete lack of security.
