1. We checked in and immediately saw stained carpeting throughout the room, dirty bathroom with hairs, and very dated and worn out furniture.

2. It's an old building and some of the details are a bit worn (eg, tired enamel in the bathtub, wallpaper peeling at the edges in some spots, uneven floor), but nothing major and certainly in line with what you'd expect in a building this old that is anything less than super-premium.
