We showed up in Spokane without a room and our only real criteria was for an affordable hotel within
walk
ing distance of the train station and where we could leave our bags after checkout until midnight.

I discovered later that the back door was just as convenient without the crowd to

thru.

We had to
walk
all the way around the block to the complete opposite side of the building to find out that the hotel was closed for renovations until December.

Great downtown location to
walk
to shopping, nightlife, the park, plays, etc. The hotel could really use some upgrading - it does seem dingy and the bathrooms are REALLY outdated.

It really says something about a place when 200 people who paid $90 or so, leave the building,
walk
3 blocks to another hotel (the Davenport) and continue with our event.

The Ridpath is also just a short
walk
from the mall, movie theatre and many dining options.

Elevators in the hotel are inoperable, except for one which you have to
walk
up and down three flights of stairs to reach and even then the elevator can access only limited floors.
