1. Close to the famed State Street where shopping is mecca we found lovely little cafes along the promonade as well as fabulous stores.

However, the location of our room on the first level had great access to the pool, spa, exercise room etc. Also, the most beautiful aspect of the hotel is its circular open aired courtyard flanked by gargantuan palladian type windows which capture the scenic beauty of the ocean across the street.

10. We rented bikes and had great meals and shopping on State Street, but also walked to dinner there one night which took about 15-20 minutes and never felt unsafe.
