1. On the plus side we liked the room decor and furnishings, the line that could be fixed over the bath to aid towel drying, the in-room safe, friendly reception and concierge staff and the great map with really good directions to attractions.

2. The restaurant does really good food, the staff and concierge are really helpful, the pool and hot tub are excellent, although the hot tub may be a little too hot for some, and the location for getting around and the local fashion mall is superb.

3. There was one concierge who directed us to take the bus to Mission Bay beach which was helpful.

4. The meals were OK but nothing special - we had better food in Old Town which is about 5 mins by taxi (not easy to walk as you have to cross a freeway and we didn`t see a walkway and the Concierge didn`t think there was one).

5. The staff were friendly but we received poor advice from the Concierge one day (either because he was busy or he just didn`t know and tried to guess the answer) which was annoying however other staff members went out of their way to try and sort out the resulting issue with transport.
