1. As for La Cantera, our weekend stay was bolstered by upgrades through AMEX (corner room with a great view, complimentary breakfast each morning, late checkout and $100 resort credit each day), but the hotel was great in being proactive in providing these upgrades (so many times you have to press and press a hotel to provide them).
