1. In the end we were happy to pay for the parking and to find our own breakfast in the morning -- we had a great time and would gladly stay there again.

3. Parking at the Menger (like most Riverwalk area hotels) is rather expensive, so I parked 3 blocks away in a public garage ($12 for 24 hours)I recommend the old Menger for anyone who wants a taste of Texas history with a flavor of old San Antonio.
