1. The lobby area is terrific with lots of tourists walking through, looking at pictures hung on the walls and admiring the antique furniture.

8. We stayed at the Menger for two reasons: 1) we had previously walked throught he lobby on a visit to San Antonio and loved the grand, spacious, opulent and historic common areas and 2) it's right across the street from the Alamo.
