1. The location was perfect--right at the edge of downtown, convenient to the streetcar and light rail, the freeway, and the top in town local sights including downtown and Portland's wonderful food carts for lunch, Chinatown, the Pearl District, Powell's bookstore, a Whole Foods around the corner, Kenny and Zuke's deli across the street, and the absolutely marvelous Jakes Seafood a block away for a not to be forgotten dinner.

2. The free street car runs by the front of the hotel and it is a 10 minute walk to the river front.
