4. It's walking distance to all the downtown attractions, including the Pearl District, the Portland Art Museum, the Schnitzer Concert Hall, tons of restaurants, grocery stores, etc. There was a complimentary happy hour wine tasting while we were there, including finger foods.

5. It was raining hard when we had to leave the hotel to walk to a theater down the street and the front desk was gracious and helpful in giving us a complimentary umbrella.

6. But we'd stay anyway - rates are very competitive, beds comfortable, rooms quiet, and amenities can't be beat: a complimentary wine reception every evening with cookies and pizza, a more than ample continental breakfast, extra service, great location, etc., etc. Can't recommend it highly enough.
