1. Room was lovely (ask for a riverside room), bathroom was huge, continental breakfast and free wifi made it very reasonable.

2. The biggest thing the Avalon Hotel & Spa has going for it are the standard amenities that are often missing from other hotels in this price range - extremely comfortable beds, soft, luxurious pillows, fluffy robes, free wifi.

3. Other features of the hotel included well functioning WiFi, an adequate continental breakfast served in the elevator lobby steps from our room (I went for coffee in my bathrobe<provided>)), and great steam,sauna,jacuzzi in the spa (also went to the spa in my bathrobe :)).

4. WIFI is reasonable, though I'd recommend that they put a couple more AP's in to increase coverage, it's a little spotty at the far end of the build and on the upper floors.

9. Easy access to recycling (this is my main gripe at most hotels - I always have newspapers, water bottles, etc. that I want to recycle while on trips!), the riverfront trails, free wireless, free (well-stocked.
