1. There was free street parking several blocks away, up a hill and across an extremely busy street.

2. I highly recommend the Saturday Street Fair in downtown, the Spaghetti factory next door, the Smiling Tortoise if you are into bars, the aerial tram if you are into great views and well, just roam around Portland yourself.

3. The location is away from downtown but the river pathway is perfect for rollerblading/riding downtown, and there was a new street car stop about three blocks away (very convenient).

4. The only downside to the hotel is they charge $20.00/night for valet parking or you can try to find parking on the street.
