The location cannot be faulted (5 mins or less to Pioneer Square and the main shopping area), the in-house restaurant/pub (The Red Star Tavern) has amazing beer and great food, the concierge recommended an awesome breakfast place that was less than 10 mins to walk (Bijou on SW 3rd Ave), the OMSI centre is fantastic if you have children of any age, Deschutes Brew Pub is within easy walking distance and the folks everywhere are really friendly.

9. -The attached restaurant was very nice and mostly affordable, especially for breakfast, and happy hour-Provided bikes to ride around town-Dog-friendly-Had a nice wine hour during the week with a pianist who took requests!-The rooms are lovely - I've never had such a comfortable hotel bed - lots of pillows-The Monaco really pays attention to the details - they provided me with an umbrella (I can't believe I forgot to pack that in Oregon) and a hair straightener which are not usually stocked by most hotels-I highly recommend this hotel if you're planning on hosting an event there.

Some of our favorites:Breweries: Upright Brewing, HUB, Burnside Brewing, Deschutes, Double Mtn (Hood River)Coffee: Barista, Heart RoastersFood: Le Pigeon, Tabla, Toro Bravo, Lovejoy bakery (best breakfast sandwich), Food carts @ 42nd and SE Belmont, Voodoo (really is worth it, go early!)Willamette wineries: Soter (must-go), Winderlea, Anne Amie, Amity, Lange, Maysara Columbia Gorge/Hood River: Eagle Creek Trail, Cathedral Ridge Winery, Double Mtn Brewing.
