1. Highly recommend walking across the street to Regnelli's Pizza, where we all had great sandwiches (can't vouch for the pizza but it looked good).

3. The rooms on the upper floors have balconies that overlook the street, but it's all very cool architecture and I found it pretty relaxing just hanging out there for half an hour.

6. It was easy to get a cab to the Fairgrounds, and at $5 per person for three or more people, I recommend cabs rather than the shuttles, which are $18 each way, only leave from the Sheraton on Canal Street, and don't save any time when there is a large crowd leaving at the end of the day.
