Normally, I do not have car in NO, but we had other travels, so we really needed one (my son uses a bike for his New Orleans commuting!)The evening meal was not really 'light', but rather a full meal including very nice salad bar, fresh fruit, main course, vegies, etc as well as wine and 2 beers on tap.

The pool area (indoor) was very nice/clean (although windows look out to the parking lot) and the breakfast buffet was great eggs, sausage, bacon, fresh cut up fruit, whole fruit, cereals, pastries, bagels, waffles breakfast bars, etc.(above par from most other Homewood`s at which we`ve stayed).

4. Instead, take a short walk to Happy's bar one block the other way (or any other bar), and bring the drinks back to the hotel.

5. There is no bar in the hotel and I don't recommend going next door to Le Pavilion where the decor is worth looking at, but the drinks are small and expensive.

6. Didn't need lounge, piano or bar (btw, there are bars in the french quarter), we used this room to sleep, shower and watch some TV.
