1. I only recommend for a short time because if you're actually visiting Miami, you'll probably want to stay in a different area, closer to hotspots like the beach and downtown, but if you want to stay close to the airport and some of the bigger malls and aren't looking to do much while in town, stay here.

2. Despite being close the airport and to far from downtown, I think is a good choice: we didn't hear the airplane, max 15 minutes from arte deco/ocean drive, and very beatiful way until the city ( without transit) .

Advantages: - very close to the airport - great access to downtown Miami and beaches - pets accepted at no charge (I saw many dogs and cats in the hotel) - very, very friendly staff - great views for airplane freaks - very comfortable beds Disadvantages: - the hotel is pretty old and definitely needs a major refresh - really dirty windows - general feeling of a 1970's building - planes can get quite noisy.

8. We had had a long flight, we had no intention of going into downtown Miami so we just wanted somewhere nice and comfortable and relaxing and ofcourse the shuttle bus from the airport was appreciated.
