1. They upgraded our room to a suite at no charge, and even provided complimentary bottle of wine and hors d'oeuvres.

2. Advantages: - very close to the airport - great access to downtown Miami and beaches - pets accepted at no charge (I saw many dogs and cats in the hotel) - very, very friendly staff - great views for airplane freaks - very comfortable beds Disadvantages: - the hotel is pretty old and definitely needs a major refresh - really dirty windows - general feeling of a 1970's building - planes can get quite noisy.

3. After we checked in they, without asking for it, gave us two t-shirts, two toiletbags with all the necessary toiletries, a voucher so that we could get our laundry done (free of charge) and a voucher for a free tuxedo rental at formal night.

5. An added benefit in case you need it: If you are staying on the way out and again on the way in, they will hold luggage for you at no charge.

7. No vending machines, just ice machines on all floors- so you have to buy snacks from the shop downstairs who charge $8 for water.
