Sofitel offered attractive deals; we chose one night on the 'air of romance' package, which included in room 'champagne' (shame on you, French chain, Sofitel for calling Washington State sparkling wine champagne) and straberries dipped in chocolate, plus full breakfast in room or restaurant for a rate of $116 (not a typo).

8. The food was expensive - yes, but it's an expensive hotel after all - they give you a great deal on the rooms, but the restaurant then charges the 'normal' luxury prices.
