1. We had several issues with the service, from check-in to simple things like requesting more lighting for our suite and our original room, with some requests taking hours and repeated calls.

4. As it happens, I had booked a suite anyway so the lack of a huge upgrade wasn't a huge issue, but as a top-level member of the hotel chain's loyalty scheme staying in a $400 suite booked with cash (not SPG points or anything), I would have expected a slightly better attitude.
