1. If you're lucky you might find an LA Times left in the vending machine outside (bring lots of quarters), or if you don't mind waiting in the long coffee line, you can get the New York Times, the LA Times, and the Wall Street Journal next door at Starbucks.

5. The outside of the hotel on the street is clean but its when you cross to walk to the next block then the reality hits you My God!homeless people,mental ill people are around every corner.

(Are they really going to call it the 'Doubletree by Hilton' and let it go at that?)The hotel is also within easy walking distance (10-15 minutes) of the Disney Concert Hall, the LA City Hall, Olvera Street, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, Los Angeles Union Station, the discount stores of the Garment District and Toy Districts, and the Japanese American National Museum.
