9. While big city downtown hotels typically charge for parking, I was a bit annoyed that a Hilton in Eugene would feel the need to charge $10 when one could find street parking.

10. Eugene is a university town and there were quite a few students roaming around the streets and quite a few cyclists riding around town, even at night.
