1. As well, usually with these kinds of properties there is a required valet parking rule where any savings on the room is quickly taken when they bring your car and gouge you with fees.

2. There was a $12 fee for the delivery of a UPS package to my room (in which I tipped the delivery person $5 not knowing I was being charged $12 for the delivery), and $2 charge for a call to SPG to ask about a promotion at the hotel.

3. The second issue I have with the Westin Galleria is the lack of services provided and the excessive fees for any service that is provided.

4. On the weekdays no problem parking out front with easy access, but on the weekend, we parked in Nordstroms and walked to the hotel entrance saving the valet $15 fee each day.

6. Additionally, they do not charge a pet fee, something that is now equivalent to the inconvenience of an airline baggage fee; since we usually travel with a small dog, this is a real value add.

9. Instead of paying the $11.95 Westin access fee, you can sit and have breakfast and watch the kids ice skating in the Galleria skating rink.
