The good: the hotel has a warm cozy feel, staff is very polite and courteous; rooms are unlike any others that I've been in, for example: stereo system with built in speakers throughout the room, working gas fireplace, tastefully decorated as if you are in someone's home, electronic do not disturb/clean my room signal so you don't have to fiddle with door hangars, good size flat screen TV, jacuzzi bathtub; real flowers in the bathroom; nice towels; towel heater in bathroom; TV in bathroom; very nice headboard or four poster bed (depending on what type of room you get); free parking if you have a Lexus and free use of the hotel Lexus with driver who can take you around town as needed; they provide complimentary business cards with your hotel address on them; nightly turn down service; very good restaurant downstairs (Mooo); free wireless internet that's pretty fast; complimentary fruit in the hallways.

From the high end stereo system(with speaker controls throughout each area), large flat screen TV, free WiFi, plush towels on heated racks, over-sized and comfortable antique furniture, canopy bed with cashmere throw, well stocked bar with premium brand liquor and bottles of quality wine, marble bathroom with rainforest shower, etc. We noticed and appreciated the fine points of our room throughout our stay.

4. this place scks - nothing works - phone connection bad an spotty wireless on blackberries dont work half the time wirelessinternet is bad staff very rude and unfrienldy would never recommend for business ever.

7. Sure, there's WiFi, an iPod dock, flatscreen TV with surround and an auto-bar, however entering the building feels almost like a step back in time.

8. I have stayed at many places where you are paying over $500 a night and they cant even through in WIFI (a little peeve that drives me crazy) I would gladly pay a little more for a higher level of service.

9. The attention to detail at XV Beacon is outstanding: quality bed linen, towels/robes, hangers, glassware, wifi, decor, furniture, extensive newspaper selection, attentive friendly staff, the list goes on.
