The Lenox looks like and is one of the old, Grande Dame, hotels, but it is sparklingly kept up, from finishes to uniforms, and the staff was unfailingly young, friendly and helpful - for example the concierge got us a moved reservation at a top restaurant during hectic restaurant week when it had been all my fault in giving her wrong date initially.

9. I would be reluctant to single any individual out because the fact is that from the valet parking, the front desk, the concierge, the bellman and the housekeeping staff there was a consistent message that they were anxious to make our stay as pleasant as possible and to be helpful.
