1. The location, ok a little further out than the main hotels but this was a pleasant walk and away from the hustle and noise of the main hotels and walking distance for stratosphere and bus stops were convenient to go to the strip and beyond to the shopping mall and Freemont in the other direction.

2. It's walking distance which is nice when it's like 80 degrees and sunny outside enjoy the walk and views along the way.

3. Lastly, there are plenty shops located 2 mins walk like Walgreens, Mcdonalds, drinks store etc you won't need to go far for anything so location wise I don't have any bad points.

7. The nearest monorail station is behind the Riviera at the LVH, it's about a 5 minute walk, not too bad.
"Older hotel, but not a bad experience! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/25/2012 Vote
8. Although its on the strip, it's pretty out of the way (but within walking distance of Encore or the convention center) and its surrounded by empty ghost properties that fell victim to the recession (Fountain Blue and Echelon).
"Unlike wine, the Rivera has not improved with age " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/9/2012 Vote
9. It's not a huge hotel, like some of the others on the Strip, so you do not need to walk much to reach its various areas, but that also means that your choices inside the hotel, are limited.
"Not for me, thank you " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/15/2012 Vote
10. We found the walk to the strip okay but it is a distance if you want to go all the way but depends if you like a walk.
