2. It is a little out of the way if you are wanting to be directly downtown, but perfect if you are looking for a quiet spot away from all the nightlife.

Pros:+ Although as has been noted, the hotel is little faded (for example the marble on the steps to the pool is missing in places), overall the hotel is in good condition+ Good value compared to the downtown hotels+ Lots of restaurants within walking distance (and also US stores for international travelers to buy from Gap/Target etc).

5. Although far from downtown Austin it is convenient to major arteries that can get you where you want to go, and close to the Domain shopping area that is really fun to explore.
