6. For snacks and such, make sure to go to Urban Market a couple blocks away on 8th Street - - it was a great place with a nice salad bar, prepared foods, juices, fruit/vegetables, organic snacks.

7. About ten minutes walk away there is a Westfield Plaza that has the most amazing food court down stairs, so be sure to check that out first as you may find you eat most of your meals there.

8. We had no meals at the Holiday Inn, as the dining room tended to be full of 'package-holiday people', but there are breakfast/take-out places nearby which are convenient, reasonably priced and offer good food.

9. In the main lobby area, has a very nice restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner (well worth eating here, great food - although a little pricy).

10. also I would recommend Fishermans Wharf, aquarium by the bay and a boat trip and of course Alcatraz and try the food at Bubba Shrimp Restaurant fantastic atmosphere and brill food.
