1. From checking in to checking out every member of staff we spoke to was first class.

2. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful and the location is good very close to Union Square so easy to get around, however outside the hotel front there were a lot of homeless people around, harmless enough but not what you always want.

9. To me, the Clift is like dating a bipolar person - sometimes the rooms are absolutely beautiful and clean and the staff is helpful and personable - other times, the rooms are mediocre at best and the entire staff seems to be suffering from a hangover.
