One more thing, adjacent to the hotel is a restaurant called the Grand Cafe, they serve a delicious
brunch
menu, don't leave SF without eating there first.

Front desk agents went out of there way to help me with
brunch
and dinner recommendations, transit options and to make sure that I got the room type that I wanted.

Bar serves up quality cocktails and is long on atmosphere, and the French offerings for Sunday
brunch
were quite satisfying and perfectly decadent --champagne, cocktails, oysters, mussels, escargot, charcuterie and flammekueche at 9am.

Their brasserie Grand Cafe is upscale, hip and beautiful, but beware the slowest
brunch
in the world.

As for convenience, the Walgreens across the street has just about anything one could need while traveling and the Grand Cafe next door serves a fantastic Sunday
brunch
and has an extensive bar.

We ate
brunch
at the Grand cafe and the food was very good Between five and seven the bar at the restaurant serves up some very tasty raw and baked oysters for about a buck-fifty per oyster, and we enjoyed a pre-night-on-the-town snack of oysters and champagne for a very modest sum.
