1. Dropped in off the street, and was offered a choice of rooms, staff were very friendly and happy to help ( and very honest about the need for air con on a warm day, as not all rooms came with it standard).

9. However overall I would highly recommend the Rex for it's friendly staff, location, cosy rooms and the lovely bar area, so much nicer than the large, soulless hotels which all look the same.
