Nice staff at comp bar at Nightly Manager's reception though I never saw a manager my entire stay, until service and food was NOT present at breakfast, then a manager and staff seemed to jump to 'recovery' mode like they did not expect a Sunday morning crowd for breakfast between Christmas and New years Day at a downtown family hotel.

5. I used to really like the Embassy Suites Downtown/Lakefront, but think I like this Embassy Suites better for the location and the fact that it's a little smaller, and therefore was not as crowded over the long weekend.

8. (If you're in Chicago and dont go there, you are sincerely missing out - AND ITS RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO THE EMBASSY DOWNTOWN!) I was planning on going back to that restaurant anyway, because I loved it so much on a previous trip, and was quite pleasantly surprised by it being next to the hotel I was staying at.

9. Fantastic hotel with great location in middle of downtown chicago, the concierge recommended a great river/lake boat tour, we walked to the Ohio street beach, the pool/hot tub were great and we are definitely staying here next time we go to Chicago.
