1. It was only a few blocks to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade (and the balloon inflating thing the night before is on the same street - 77th), and there was a great pub with microbrewed beers on 76th and Amsterdam (the Amsterdam Ale House), which served a Thanksgiving dinner for us un-American tourists.
